Diageo

Jonathan has produced more of his hallmark liquid work for the launch of two new ready mixed canned drinks from Diageo, Gordon’s and Tonic and Smirnoff and Cranberry.


Rob Fletcher, creative director of Isobel, created the Instant Evening campaign, aimed at people who may enjoy a spirit drink with a mixer, but would not consider themselves to be high enough consumers to justify the purchase of a whole bottle. The images feature the cans dropping into liquid symbolising either Tonic or Cranberry Juice along with the ingredients required for the perfect drink.

 

Cream Ibiza Paul Van Dyk

Cream is preparing for another momentous summer in Ibiza with a world beating line up of parties with Paul van Dyk returning to Amnesia as exclusive resident. The Global DJ & producer has mixed this year’s Cream Ibiza album released by New State Music.


Jonathan shot the album sleeve image, and poster advertising which will run for the club on the island, featuring the iconic Cream logo within shafts of light. The design was by David Bowden and James White at Zip.

 

Budweiser

To Support Fallon’s True Dedication campaign, Jonathan has just shot a campaign of 18 stunning close-up images for Budweiser. Working closely with the art director Mark Saward at Euro RSCG KLP, they produced shots which focus on different aspects of the bottle, and reinforce the quality and purity of the product.

 

Prazska Vodka

Here at Jonathan Knowles studio, we always like a new challenge. We were very pleased to get the brief through from McCann-Erickson Prague for the newly designed bottle for Prazska vodka.


The headline translates as ‘Gentle sharpness to the edge’, which the photography reflects using sleek natural flowing liquid mixed with sharp, defined splashes.


The creative team was Michal Kotulek and Jan Ridl.

 

Becks

Jonathan worked with Gary Wallis & Simon Morris at Lowe London for the next outdoor campaign for Beck’s in the United States.

 

Ministry Of Sound Chilled 1991 - 2008

Following the success of the Anthems album, which went double platinum in six months, the Ministry of Sound have released Chilled 1991 – 2008. Jonathan shot the new sleeve along the same theme as Anthems, featuring the Ministry logo, with more chilled coloring as the background. The track listing includes all the iconic chillout music from the era of the club’s existence. The album entered the compilations chart at No. 1, and has already been there for several weeks.


The designers were Simon Helm and Neil Simpson, under the Creative directorship of Simon Moore.

 

Make Model - The LSB

Jonathan has shot the latest single sleeve for Make Model, released by EMI. The design and art direction was by David Bowden at Zip Design, and the set was designed by Lyndsay Milne.


A tip of the cap to the ASBO generation. the LSB is about kids who used to hang out near group member Lewis Gayle’s childhood home. They drew “The LSB” on the wall with graffiti pens and would talk about how they were ‘well hard and carried knives etc.’ The broken glass structure is symbolic of that time.

 

Le Creuset

Le Creuset’s new campaign is just out. The advertising highlights the new colours and new materials being used by this high quality cookware manufacturer, known for it’s more traditional orange products.


The advertising was developed and commissioned by Ignition Communications and art directed by James Edwards.

 

Grant’s Whisky

Jonathan has just finished shooting the new worldwide campaign for Grant’s whisky with Matt Turner & Luke White at My Agency. The ads are all about the heritage and complex flavours which are fundamental to the Grant’s brand.

 

Anthems 1991 - 2008

Recently, Jonathan has shot the sleeve image for the Ministry of Sound Anthems 1991-2008 Album. Looking back on the history of the UK’s love affair with dance music, Anthems 1991 – 2008 spans almost two decades of momentous musical moments, going back to the birth of Ministry of Sound in 1991 as the UK’s first super club

This is already one of the best selling Ministry albums ever and is about to go double-platinum. We look forward to hanging our commemorative disc on the wall!
